Privacy and cookies

lwtech.org is run by Wattlet AS, Gudbrandsdalsvegen 194, 2619 Lillehammer, Norway (contact form).

Orders and messages

When you order a licence or write to us, we keep your name, company, e-mail address, country, VAT number, PC ID and message to deliver the licence, invoice it and answer you. Invoices are kept as long as Norwegian accounting law requires (5 years). We do not sell or share this data, except with our accountant.

Card payments

If you pay by card, the payment is made in a window of the payment service Dintero (Dintero AS, Norway), which handles your card details itself: we never see or store your card number. We receive and keep the result of the payment: the transaction number, the status, the payment method (for example Visa) and the time, together with the order.

Downloads

When you download the installer, the KiCad plugin or the manual, we record the file, the time, the address you came from, your browser, your IP address and its country, to count the downloads. The IP address and the browser are deleted after 90 days; the count and the country stay.

Visit statistics

For each page you open we record the page, the time, the address you came from, your browser, your IP address and its country, how long you stayed and how far you scrolled. This is stored on our own server only, used to see which pages are read, and deleted after 30 days; only the number of visits per day is kept.

The LW RF Studio program

Each time LW RF Studio starts, it sends its PC ID (a hash of the Windows installation ID, not your name or files), the program version, the Windows version and whether a licence is installed to our server. The server stores this with the time, your IP address (the one of the last start) and its country. We use it to run the 30-day trial and for usage statistics. Without an internet connection the program still starts.

Cookies

The cookie consent remembers your choice. Only if you accept, the cookie vid (a random number, 90 days) lets us count returning visitors. No advertising or third-party cookies are used.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data through the contact form, and complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian data protection authority).
